John Mayer Announced Wemblye Arena Show

John Mayer has revealed that he will play London’s Wembley Arena on May 27th. As part of his short visit to Europe, the singer’s show at Wembley is being described as what will be one of the musical highlights of the 2010 music calendar. John Mayer Tickets sales for the Wembley gig are likely to be fierce judging by previous tickets sales for his Hammersmith Apollo show back on January 18th where tickets were snapped up in just two hours.

More recent material has seen Mayer focus more on the Blues genre. Having collaborated with legends such as BB King, Buddy Guy and Eric Clapton in 2005, Mayer went on to form the band The John Mayer Trio with bassist Pino Palladino and drummer Steve Jordan, both of whom he had met through previous studio sessions. The trio played a combination of blues and rock music and gained huge recognition after opening for The Rolling Stones in October 2005

Last year Mayer performed an instrumental guitar version of Michael Jackson’s “Human Nature” at the pop star’s memorial service and the singer’s fourth studio album ‘Battle Studies’ was released on November 17th.
