At stand up comedy John Mayer has reportedly taken another shot, offering up a 10 minute set at New York's Comedy Cellar night club. At stand up the set was Mayer's second attempt. He was booed off stage at the same club in 2006. According to one audience member the Grammy winning, multi platinum selling songwriter was visibly nervous before taking that stage. The unnamed source told People Magazine that Mayer looked "actually nervous right before he went on and kept checking his notes that he brought onstage."Mayer made headlines for his first stand up routine, during which he reportedly made repeated sexist and racist remarks. Comedy blogger Jason Pinter caught the set and told Stereogum that even Mayer's fellow comedians were unimpressed. "It was so bad, that the comedians following Mayer made fun of him. Not just 'tee hee' kind of ribbing, but, 'Can you believe that guy can hold a job' kind of ribbing," Pinter said.
